It would be nice if staffs smile more

2/11/24: my opinion of this place has changed drastically omg…. What happened!!?!? Customer service is not their specialty - I asked for an iced lemon tea without the cinnamon and the front of house said they don’t have time to make it without cinnamon rather than saying sorry it comes as a premix with cinnamon ‍♀️ then if you get a hot drink as takeout they only fill your cup halfway! Unbelievable! Late 2022: Delicious breakfast and great ambiance! This restaurant is super chic and cute. For breakfast we had the steamed rice noodle and congee as well as a ham omelette with buttered toast. Each dish came with a drink so we got the iced honey lemon tea and HK milk tea. The honey lemon tasted strongly like cinnamon for some reason which was really weird and not exactly the flavor profile I’m looking for in an iced honey lemon. I preferred the set of rice noodle and congee more than the omelette since the ham was a little too crunchy. The dishes were not too salty which is always welcomed.

After spotting an espresso machine in the window, we entered the café hoping to enjoy some coffee. We initially wanted two cappuccinos but were informed that only espresso was available. When I agreed to an espresso, it was to be served in a 14 oz paper cup, not an espresso cup. I opted for a drip coffee instead. The café had a dining area and a casual seating area upfront without table settings. After sitting down with my coffee, I was asked if I was dining in or taking away, a question that would have been more appropriate at the time of ordering. Upon asking if I could stay and drink my coffee, I was told the tables were for dining customers only and that staying required leaving a tip. Consequently, I left a dollar on the table and left. The service was unwelcoming, and due to this experience, I would not recommend this place.

Delicious Hong Kong style tea.

Food is good, portions are big (you will likely have leftovers), very reasonably priced for 2024 ($40 before tips for two entrees, a stir fry veggies and two drinks). It is a bit annoying that it's cash only. I get that credit card fees are expensive, but maybe allow Venmo or something.

Wonderful cup of HK milk tea and coffee. Very good service.
