Captain D's

I am in town visiting locally, and have been here since Thursday evening. I've eaten out a few times already, and this, was BY FAR my best dining out experience so far. I ordered in the restaurant, to take it to go, since it's been YEARS since I have had Captain Ds, as we don't have many left back in Texas, and I didn't want to hold up the drive thru line. The ordering was fast, and the staff was so kind and polite. The lady who I believe was possibly the manager, I'm not sure, was super kind to this older couple who was ordering ahead of me. All I recall is she was wearing a Marvel Sweatshirt. She was so patient and polite to this couple, it just made me smile! The young man taking my order was also very polite, and instead of waiting for the lady to finish taking the other couples order, he went ahead and took mine on another register! I had no longer than time to get my tea glass filled, and my order was ready!!! I was shocked! I got the food back to where I am staying about 10 or so minutes away, and it was still piping hot and fresh as could be. Everything was delicious and I was very pleased. I like to give credit where credit is due, and this location and the staff there are top tier. No wonder they stay busy!! Thank you for the delicious meal and kind, prompt service. I'll definitely be back before I go home to have some more delicious food.

This is the third time I’ve tried to eat here when this location appears to be either ignoring customers or closing hours earlier than your closing time posted on the web and your building. I was at the drive through at 830 pm tonight. It was still lit up. Your hours are 10 pm. If that’s not the case then POST IT ON THE DOOR AND DRIVE THROUGH.

This location is always HOT AND FRESH. I love eating here. Thanks keep up the good work.(Airport Rd.)

Serving size is unacceptable. I counted 8 fries with my 2 piece. Will add photo my next visit. My next visit will only be to get a picture.

Ordered online to save time. I see they are busy but it took 15 minutes after I entered the store for them to start my order. What is the point of ordering online!

Now tell me this isn't a raw deal. I pull up to the drive thru (where a majority of people Can barely understand what the person at the other end is saying, anyway, through a little tiny speaker), and what I hear is what you would expect to hear, 'welcome to Captain D's, can I take your order?" Now, at the top, it says "Add 5 shrimp for $1.99. If we don't make you this offer it's free." So I went through the entire order I had and didn't hear anyone offer me shrimp, so I thought I had some coming to me, free. I get up to the window and I said "so can I get my 5 shrimp for free?" She says "oh I made the offer. I always do." After arguing with her for a moment, I took it in stride, and decided to call back and talk to the manager. He said. "Oh no. This promotion has been running for 6 months, And everybody here always makes that offer." I said "no, they did not" and he said "yes", he says "every time we ask, We say 'welcome to Captain D's. Can I add 5 shrimp to your order?" So I said, " Well, that's kind of messed up, who's going to expect you to offer the shrimp just after you say "welcome to Captain D's? Most people are going to expect that you're going to ask that at the end of the order, not before the order is even placed." And he then offered up the fact that this is the way that corporate told their employees to ask it. I said "I'll bet that is the way they told you to ask it, because nobody in the right mind would expect you to ask that before the order is even placed. Not only that, but if you rattle it out fast enough, it sounds just like "Can I take your order?"... Because that's what most people would hear, not 'Can I add five shrimp to your order?' Ingenious how they managed to get away with this all this time and no one else's complained. Well, I'm complaining now. I'll be going to Captain D's a lot less now, thanks to this experience. Thanks for listening to this petty, yet valid complant.

I think the staff are amazing but the company and the quality of their food have really gone to the absolute bottom
