Caja Caliente Coral Gables

I came in person, placed a TO GO order, and got charged a 15% service charge. I am always in for tipping, but a sneaky not-communicated fee for a TO GO order I placed in person is just crazy.

My wife and I have been coming to caja caliente for years now! One of our favorite places to drink a cold michelada! Queso frito is amazing! We are going to miss caja now that we are moving but we will be back!

5 stars all around. I had a fantastic mahi bowl that was fresh and flavorful. If you are anywhere near Caja Caliente, please do yourself a favor and eat here.

We sat outside enjoying a perfect Miami day. Celebrating my boyfriend's birthday. Everything we had was delicious.. but I really enjoyed the tamales with the fried egg on top. WOW.

I was at Caja Caliente a while ago and always kept the good taste of their dishes. Yesterday I saw a reel by Mika Leon (chef and owner) on IG and couldn't wait to go for dinner today. What a pleasant surprise! The place has been redecorated and looks great. The menu is getting better and better. El “pan con lechón caja caliente” was simply delicious!! The service and the atmosphere was exquisite! 120% RECOMMENDED!!!

Ordered a burrito, guac and chips and fries…. Took over 30 mins for my to go order and they forgot the fries…..noticed after I drove away and checked the bag. For $40 I should of went elsewhere.

This is some of the most delicious food I’ve ever had. I went here twice in my 1 day trip because I couldn’t get enough!! The Bolitas De Platano were incredible– perfect combo of sweet and savory. And whatever sauce they used on the Vaca Frita Taco was unreal. I wish I could take some of this food back to CA because I don’t want to say goodbye
