I had the salmon and it was very good. My husband had the clams and he said they were very good. The two different red wines by the glass we tried were "off". It is a very small space..we were upstairs which also appeared to be used for storage.
Great food, fast service, and such an intimate setting. The highlight of my trip, simply a beautiful restaurant.
OUT OF THIS WORLD EXPERIENCE! 100000000/10. I honestly don't even know where to start! We were greeted and sat by a lovely hostess, who made sure we liked the spot, showing us both the inside and outside areas. Even though we were only two, she sat us down at a larger table that gave us more space to be comfortable. We were immediately served water and housemade, soft, warm bread (with both salted butter and olive oil+balsamic, a true italian combo!), which was quickly refilled as soon as we ran out, every time. A gentleman then came to our table when we were sat down, and gave us the specials, as well as suggestions for both food and wine. I ordered the gnocchi, that came with a sauce that I would drink out of a cup (it was a cheese sauce, extremely well balanced, creamy, perfect), and my husband ordered the chicken parmegiana, which came with their HOUSEMADE marinara, in which you could see actual pieces of real tomatoes and onions. Then, we ordered the tiramisu as our dessert, and it was perfection, a classic made in true italian fashion, with a light and fluffy, sweet but not too sweet creme. My husband discovered this hidden gem, and this was our first time coming here, but definitely not the last. I usually do not write reviews, but we were truly blown away by the food, the service, and how cute and cozy this restaurant was! p.s.: prices were AMAZING, too! i don't remember seeing housemade meals WITH PROTEIN for $20 in YEARS!!!!!!
We ate at Cafe Trastevere and rate everything 4 stars, it was such an outstanding experience! Coming back in 2 weeks.
Perhaps it was an off night, but I will not go back. The food was good, but not fantastic. Service was so poor. It was not a dining experience at all.
Had an absolutely fantastic early Valentine's Day dinner! My fiance and I shared several glasses of wine and enjoyed the chef's special salmon plus penne al gorgonzola. Brilliant choice for intimate dinners with a loved one, or a few friends! The managers and owners definitely care about this restaurant and strive to give everyone a great experience with wonderful tasting food!
Really enjoy the food, but can’t take their misrepresentation and manipulation of mobile order delivery times anymore. Tonight it took 90 minutes to get our food (promised “30-45” on Uber Eats). That’s the second time an order has been 45 minutes longer than promised. This is not a delivery issue (we live 3 minutes away and watch the driver on Uber Eats when we’re hungry) — the kitchen just doesn’t get the food made. It’s a local restaurant we wish we could support, but just can’t do it anymore.
Excellent Food, Great Wine Selection, amazing service. This place is the place to be for that romantic dinner or for a night out with that special someone. I took mom:) The Ravioli appetizer was so good and the sauce, well it was one of the best I have had. Add this to your must try list while in Orlando.
