Café Bastille SF

I have to admit that the escargot were pretty good. Service was great but the ambiance just didn’t do it for me.

Bastille is a hangout for lots of French expats with simple but excellent food. The wine list has something for everyone. Their croque-monsieur an absolute favorite!

Service was good. The waiter was friendly and attentive. My husband and I each got the steak. The steak seemed poor quality for the price. I had a hard time cutting my meat. I asked for med rare so maybe that's my fault but it seemed almost raw in places.The fries tasted like frozen fries you could bake at home. On a positive note we had a couple of glasses of wine that we enjoyed. I haven't tasted anything else off the menu but I probably won't be back.

Nous sommes venus voir le match de rugby d'ouverture France-nouvelle Zélande. L'ambiance était géniale. Que des français venus voir le match. Ecran TV un peu partout dans la salle. Nous avons pris le burger, viande bonne, frites croustillantes. La serveuse était très aimable avec un ptit effort à nous parler en français pour qq mots. Par contre, je trouve cela cher de payer plus de 20 $ de pourboires. Je recommande à venir manger ici Vive la France
