I usually don't leave negative comments but considering what we paid for our dinner.......I'm not coming back. Steak looked good but quality was poor. Broccoli was disgusting overcooked and sauce/flavoring was unidentifiable. Her filet was over sauced and she asked for it as a side. Funny how the service dropped off after they delivered the food. They never returned except with the bill. I dont get the hype. Was it a fluke? Maybe there's a reason they keep the lights low?
Been promising my bf dinner here for over 2 years. Took him and the grandbaby Friday evening. My server was slow at her job and acted like she didn't care about us.she came to our table 3 times throughout our seating. She was kinda on the rude side also. The owner was walking around talking with everyone,sweet gentlemen. Me being a cook and working in the food industry knew that,if the food isn't speaking to you, this is usually why they walk around. And again great guy, but the out dated interior and once we finally received our food ,the plating,ummm out dated also. Stop with the green leaf on your plate with relish! My bf got the tomahawk ilsteak, with mushrooms " that looked and tasted like they came from a can. I got the prime rib with broccoli mmmm I've been waiting on this Way under cooked had to send it back 2 times ,till finally I said just rap it up. I'm so not one to complain,but when we got the granddaughter Mac and cheese, from a box This place used to be fabulous or I wouldn't have taken my bf there! Then damn I got our bill " holly crap" $240 without tip! Sad part is I wouldn't have minded if only it was worth it, sorry we definitely won't be returning!
Such an amazing place to eat. Fabulous steaks! Come hungry.
15 minutes for drinks, 20 for bread, 15 for soup, 20 for salad, and none of it good. Steak was ok at best. Would have been better with a sauce. Very disappointed.
We had been here once before and loved it. Came back excited. The food was such a let down. My husband had a $70 T bone he had ordered medium. I had a 11 oz filet also ordered medium. Both had came out raw in the middle but burnt on the outside. I asked to recook mine and it just came back tasting even more charred. The waiter was extremely nice. The food was just way too expensive to be a fail.
Great place to eat service was good but there short staffed
Food was good, the onion soup was amazing ! The apple cobler was super delicious! Steak was very good but had a lot of fat, but the flavor was perfect and it was cooked perfect! We had a big party for my sons 21st birthday and it was perfect!
This restaurant is one of the older locally-owned establishments in Indianapolis, and it has a charming, old-fashioned feel. The dry-aged tips, house salad with ranch, and baked potatoes were all fantastic. The meat quality is much better than that of your average chain restaurant and it’s reasonably priced.
