Absurdly expensive and overpriced catering to very wealthy locals who are too scared to cross Lexington Avenue to Fairway and museum tourists. Bread, HALF a loaf was $9 a week ago, today it's $10.50. Everything is practically double of elsewhere.

6 dollar water and 6.99 for watermelon chunks which they marked at 1.99 per lb. Most of the things are not even marked. I have no problem with expensive price but at least mark things properly instead of this deceiving practice

Update: since this incident occurred, I received an apology from the ownership, and means to attempt to rectify the situation. Since I do not live in the area, I choose not to proceed. However, I am grateful for the response and hope this will not happen again to another customer. The store itself is very nice, and food is delicious (despite being overpriced even for the area). However, the management is left to unexperienced/not trustworthy individuals. I handed $25 for a $20+ change purchase (as I did not have singles), and only received coins as change, without my four dollars. When I asked about the missing change, the cashier angerly pulled a dollar bill from the register and pointed out to it. When I said that I did not have one-dollar bills and gave her a five-dollar bill, the cashier, very angerly, offered to “count the register”. She picked up the register, full of cash, and went to the back of the store. In less than 3 minutes, she came back, and did not tell me a word. When I inquired about the results, she said that the manager is coming to speak with me. The manager told me that both the camera and the register “were ok”. I’ve worked in enough stores to know that counting of the register and review of the video evidence take more than 3 minutes; no one even bothered to print out tape from the register (or collect the digital key) to compare the totals. I do not appreciate being lied to. Do your job properly! I am disgusted with how the situation was “addressed”.

Butterfield Market on Madison Ave is an excellent choice for both coffee and food near Central Park.

Stellar selection of foods and sweets and so aesthetic. Great place to stop in when touring people around so they can pick up a treat. I got the single babka slice- YUM! Just don’t look at the prices…. Typical for UES I guess

The sushi and soups are really good. Everything is overpriced but good quality at least.

The frozen yogurt is great but it is wildly expensive. My wallet hurt afterwards.
