I came here in February when I was visiting family. I was staying at the Hyatt hotel next-door and wanted to check this place out for dinner. I sat at the bar (which the hostess said was just fine), as I just wanted to have a drink and get my food to go. Not only was it absolutely freezing, but I was ignored for about 15-20 minutes by every single staff member that walked by. I finally got a drink and sipped on that while I waited for my food. The staff seemed annoyed that I was there, and I left feeling quite frustrated.. especially considering the amount of money I spent on my order. The food was definitely decent, but rather somebody is getting their food to go or eating there, this type of service is not acceptable. Super disappointed!

Buca’s is a family friendly Italian restaurant near the domain. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Jon T was the best hostess/manager! The portion sizes are worth the prices. Drinks were amazing and so was the dessert! Highly recommend, but be prepared for to-go containers and go on pay day haha

The spaghetti and meatballs was reminiscent of school lunch spaghetti except the acidic seasonless marinara sauce had no meat and the huge 1/2 pound meatballs tasted like vienna sausages. The table bread was expensive and tasted like reheated little ceasars. My sister and I have been trying out different Italian restaurants lately so we have recent experiences for comparison. The service was super great. The decor is chaotic and off putting (celebrity photos and murals with multicolored string light all over~ and this may have been perceived better if the food was decent. This experience was spiritually dissappointing.

I enjoyed it more when it first arrived in Austin. Our large group was in a room with a main banquet table flanked by two 4-tops and a few booths. Not ideal, but it was fine. The carpet could use a refresh and the booth seating nearest the bathrooms actually smelled of minty toilet cleaner. To be fair, there are worse smells. The service was good. The staff worked efficiently to manage the large group. The food was good. I needed more salt than I expected on my calamari and creamy shrimp scampi.
