Bricks and Scones

Don’t order the Black Forest ham. It’s literally just deli meat. The kind you buy from Vons.

So good! Would go here again! The food was outstanding, the coffee was delicious, and the place had a cool vibe!

My mother came into this restaurant today at 4/11/24 around 11. She ordered a scone and there was hair in it. We sent it back once. Then the second scone she didn’t like. We get it it’s annoying. But the cashier said in a nasty tone will have to charge you a new one, then rolled her eyes. Then when she got the scone she asked for butter and she came with it and said “do you even still have your knife?” Then rolled her eyes again and walked away. I hate complaining like this. The thing is we live in the neighborhood 2 blocks away and pass by this place all the time. We go in once in a while not too often. It’s apart of our local scene if you will. Usually we go to burger lounge or Starbucks. I’ve asked both places multiple times to remake something etc over the years and they do it such a friendly way I don’t even feel shy about asking anymore. I mean a few times I was having trouble with my bank both places have literally comp’d my meal. I’m not expected to be waited hand and foot like it sounds. Although I think the owner would like to be told from a local why they never come to the restaurant anymore…

I had a wonderful Wednesday! The coffee was so tasty- sea salt caramel latte! It’s little bit sweet at the bottom, make sure you mix them well! The Chicken sandwich was delicious too and a good portion:) We also had one matcha scone, fig scone and earl gray scone!!

This café located on Larchmont Boulevard in Los Angeles has been in this spot for quite some time. It's a two-story café where you can purchase your desired drink and snack from the counter right at the entrance and then sit anywhere you like. It's always not crowded here, making it a perfect quiet café for reading alone or studying. All drinks containing espresso are of high quality, and the simple meal menu, including scones, is also excellent. If you want to spend some quiet time in a café, I recommend this place.
