I came here not too long ago back when it was below freezing. I must say this place kept me warm with food, wine, and service. Not really big on French cuisine but this one sits well.
The food was good, but very spicy for what you’d expect for a French inspired restaurant. Our waitress was very attentive, and all customers were dressed nicely, but we had to look at this guy all night, in a t-shirt, basketball shorts and baseball hat that seemed to be the manager, not at all in tone with the restaurant atmosphere. We made reservations and specifically said it was our anniversary. I understand that nobody needs to make a big deal, but these details definitely make a difference on a customer experience. Nobody acknowledge our occasion. Will not go back.
The service was superb. All waiters are very attentive even if they are not assigned to your table. Great steak frites… cooked to medium-rare perfection!
Get their oysters and the bone marrow for starters! We also loved their cocktails and ended our night with the bread pudding.
They were nice enough to seat us without a reservation for an early dinner on a Saturday night! We had oysters, bone marrow, crawfish benigets, the wild boar pasta dish, French onion soup, and steak frites. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, friendly, and attentive. (Our waitress was the woman with gray curly hair - can’t remember her name but will edit review if someone knows!). Highly recommended.
Really tasty onion soup and great salads. Will definitely go back!
I've been here twice. (4 times now) The food was excellent both (each) times. Update: 4 times. Still love it.
Omg PHENOMENAL food! The French onion soup was to die for and the steak frites was better than at Mister Charles (and much cheaper). Skip the bread pudding, our server left us alone for about 45 min - an hour tending to the tables around us. Thankfully we weren’t needing anything, but will still be back for the wine and savory food
Food was terrible. Service not great. Overall not good.
