I never leave reviews, however, this restaurant/bar definitely deserves a warning. The entrance to the bar is fitting as the service and drinks are pretty much toilet quality. The bar is unexplainably overpriced, the bar tenders are not friendly, and the atmosphere is surprisingly lame. I ordered 3 drinks for myself and 2 friends, one shot of Sailor Jerry for an outrageous $11, a pineapple vodka for $12, and a rum and coke with bottom shelf rum for $13. I was dumb enough to tip the bar tenders as there was no clear indication until after I received my receipt that a 20% gratuity is automatically added. In total I spent $50 for 3, very poorly mixed, low alcohol drinks. We were eventually told that we were no longer allowed in the bar after a certain hour as it became a “pants only” time of the night and 2 of us were wearing khaki shorts. I’m glad we were not allowed to stay as this is easily the worst bar I’ve ever been to. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!
Ordered on their app. We've ordered from bodega in Miami Beach multiple times during covid (20+) and a few times from Bodega Grove. Haven't ordered anything from them in 12 months. We ordered multiple tacos + guacamole to take away. The tacos are now almost half the size of what they used to be. Certainly half the weight! the protein portion is ridiculous. It wasn't like this before. I understand inflation, but their prices went up a lot, so at the end of the day you get a taco that is more expensive and half the portion it used to be. Two pescado tacos used to be $9.50 one year ago. Now they are $11 (up 16%). OK fine, prices went up, but you trick me on the price and you shrink the product. so at the end of the day it's like it went up 50%. The app tricks you multiple times in adding the tip too, if you go back to change something in the order when you go back to payment it changes the default tip. Never ordering there again. What a rip off.
Purchased food around 11:40 pm. I was told the order would have been ready by 12:30 pm; I live 2 minutes down the street from the restaurant. Got to the restaurant at 12:28 to see all the doors locked and cook /washers in the back cleaning. Knocked on the door/windows constantly to get their attention! No one responded and I didn't receive my food in which was paid for prior!! If you guy close 30 minutes early....set up on your website to not take or receive orders 30 minutes prior so no one else has to deal with the same issue like mine. Respectfully.
Lib is on fire! I had the pleasure to witness Lib handle the heavy crowds outside of Bodega. She was patient and kind to all guest! She’s the best!
Having a minimum of $100 is insane. This place isn’t half as cool as the one on the beach.
I ordered takeout through Uber eats. The tacos were supposed to be 2-for-1. I was charged for both tacos; they were lukewarm at best and the tortilla was rubbery. This isn't the first time that I have ordered delivery from here, but the last few times the quality of the food hasn't been very good. Probably won't order from here again.
Heads up- automatically adds 20% gratuity for small party of 3 for sitting at bar . Stopped by the ground level bar area with 2 other friends from out of town while bar hopping on a recent Tuesday night in Coconut Grove. It was our first stop. There’s a bar area upstairs (really nice) that was closed but possibly available for special /private events. The vibe on ground level is chill and cool- graffiti art covers the halls and large screens played Heat game. Some lounge couch seating. We sat at bar and ordered a round. Bar was quiet, but service was timely enough so i made sure to tip 20% for 1 beer/2 margaritas/basket chips. I experienced what seems to be a trend in many Miami establishments- automatically adding a 20% tip to the bill but not disclaiming it in advance. I eventually tipped $21 on a $47 round of drinks. A 44% rate.
Bought a margarita last night on Margarita Monday signs say 5$ I was charged $12 . Rip off
