I have been eating here for many years and always enjoyed the old Austin vibe and good barbecue. A recent experience has dampened my enthusiasm for stopping bye when I want barbecue. The “baby back” ribs were not the succulent falling off the bone ribs of days gone bye. They were dry and touch as jerky, like they had been too long under a heat lamp. And they were short pork ribs not the big beef ribs usually associated with “baby back” ribs. “Where’s the beef?”
Really good BBQ ,jalapeño sausage
The people best customer service !! The food !! Brisket@@ yummy !@
The best BBQ in town! I had the turkey sandwich and it was so delicious and juicy! My boyfriend had the sliced beef plate. We shared 3 sides which included potato salad, pinto beans, and coleslaw! We told the gentlemen at the counter it was our first time and they let us taste the brisket, regular sausage, and jalapeno sausage! It was all incredible! We will definitely be back!
Ordered the brown bag special (regular chopped beef sandwich, chips, and drink). However, I got the potato/egg salad mixture instead of the chips with an additional $0.95 (I didn't read the fine print). The potato/egg salad mixture wasn't too bad, but for the life of me can't recall hard-boiled eggs being in potato salad. The chopped beef sandwich was very salty and I couldn't finish it all. I mean saltier than my daughter on a crazy day (that's pretty salty). The sweet tea was good.
The 'O' could very well stand for Original because this was probably the first BBQ joint I went to as a kid. Inside it has old school charm and decades of smoke adorning the walls and ceiling. It just screams, 'This is BBQ!" I had the half chicken and it was amazing, no sauce needed! The pinto beans are how beans should be. Tasty, bold and served hot! The Mac and cheese was just a bonus, just give me a vat of it I would be happy. What? They cater? Heck yeah!
The food is outstanding! The service is phenomenal thank you Johnny! Definitely satisfies the true BBQ craving! Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly!
