Maybe the last time we can use the island, very sad outcome.
After visiting beer can island 3 years after I originally posted a photograph that has over a 100000 views. The distinctive stump is gone.
This tiny island is privately owned but opens to public; no bathrooms tho. Reportedly, the name came from the fact that there were so many beer cans left on the island by boaters … Now it seems all cleaned up. The water is clean and part of it are very shallow.
Love Beer Can Island - It’s our home away from home. Especially when we have the #halfdayvibes
Always a great time ! THe people , the food , the vendors - friendly , fun and top notch ! Thank you for all the good times - look forward to getting out there again soon Parking: Parking was great !! I park my boat right next to the island at no additional charge
