Solid well done beers, smaller tap list but still something for everyone. Their food was amazing! We got the wings and the cuban and were blown away. We expected it to be good but not this good! Bartender was friendly, good environment, will definitely return!
Some how, even though this place is a little out of the way from most of the areas we go to, I always manage to find a beer I like and find some other Interesting people to talk to and it makes for a great night. I’ll definitely keep coming back.
Bay Cannon is a beautiful space with great food, but somehow manages to fall short on their focal point—the beer itself. They generally have a pretty limited selection of their house beers, and of the ones they do put on draft, they don’t rotate much. I’m not at all a harsh critic when it comes to beer and I really enjoy most styles, but apart from one or two basic options, it’s a rough comparison to the many other excellent breweries in Tampa. Maybe it’s just me! Again though, the food is great, staff are nice, and the space is beautiful. If they amped up the beer program I’d be there all the time, but they haven’t had many exciting or well-executed options since I’ve lived in the area. I’d say still worth a visit for most people though!
The really good beer and the exceptional food served at bay Cannon deserve your patronage. We were there on a Saturday evening and it was disappointing to see such a small group of customers listening to some pretty good jazz. Come on people, they have a beer for every taste and a great selection of appetizers (we loved the quesadilla) and an eclectic mix of sandwiches at reasonable prices (we ate the seared Fresh Catch and a bay Cannon Melt)
Friendly people, great food.
Much potential here and they are still working out the kinks. The beer is decent and needs some refinement but it's good. The interior space has been remodeled well and it has a nice welcoming atmosphere. Their kitchen ventilation however is poor and any food preparation causes the smell to permeate into the entire tasting room area with the smell of fryer oil. The area they are located is a bit distressed. But it is an up and coming, just not there yet.
Beer was great. Hammered. Quesadilla was awesome too. Chuffed to bits
Such a great space! Came in with our Pub Pass and decided to stay for more! The owner and staff are super cool, and the environment is very welcoming, very open & airy. Live music on Saturday nights!
I've been here 2 times an enjoyed the time I was there. It's a bummer you guys have to close your doors. But that's definitely not the right side of town to be running a business. Come on over to the Brandon area. Much better area and probably more business!
