All the guys were great and helpful. I was recommended the pulled pork it was awesome, sides were good, BBQ sauce was smokey nice sauce.
My husband and daughter had a positive experience previously at this place, so we decided to check it out. Although, we weren’t greeted, the staff was helpful to my husband. The food is good and the restaurant was clean.
I don’t know if we hit them on an off night— but the food was terrible. My wife had pulled pork that may have been the driest material on the face of the planet. However, my brisket was one of the slimier things I’ve ever had the displeasure of putting in my mouth. They even messed up the bread… stale and strange tasting. The cashier was good, but the three college-aged kitchen staff together moved the speed on one competent employee. We found ourselves craving our friend’s Chinese food and merely moving the “bbq” around on our plate with the plastic fork. It was more expensive than the other bbq places in town— and I asked myself, “why would I pay more for an inferior product?”. It goes with our saying — we won’t be eating here again.
Food was so so, but the actual restaurant was horrible. Stuff laying everywhere. Food on the floor, kitchen items all over the place. Cook had 4” of underwear showing. Possibly the worst dinning experience in Huntsville.
Historically, I pull fat off brisket when I eat barbecue but Bark & Barrel does brisket so well I eat it as is. The first time I came it was right before close but the staff didn't treat us like we were an imposition, even though we were. We left quickly so they could go home and forgot to get barbecue sauce but the food was so good it didn't REALLY need it. Of course I've been back several times since and tried every barbecue sauce I could, and it's all amazing. The homemade kettle chips are beautiful and I can't wait to try them in nacho form but they're still super amazing as is. Staff is kind, knowledgeable and efficient. Store and kitchen have always been beautifully clean.
This was our first time checking out Bark & Barrel BBQ at Stovehouse, and we were both thrilled with our experience! The staff was super friendly, the food was absolute perfection, portions were BIG, and the location was pretty cool! Thank you again for everything! Bonus: Stovehouse offers plenty of seating availability (indoor and outdoor), fun things to do, and provides a great atmosphere to walk around and get some steps in to work off your food.
Very disappointed. Baked potato was cold. Butter and cheese didn’t even try to melt. Took it back to have them warm it up, older woman in the back rolled her eyes. Young man put it in the oven for at least 5 minutes. Saw him stir the potato after taking out of the oven for a bit and then he handed it back to us. Cheese was still cold and butter had just started to melt. As we were standing there another patron asked if they had other bbq sauce because the one out was spicy. Older lady in the back snapped back “it’s not spicy at all”.
Terrible customer service, female manager seemed mad that she worked there, they gave me nothing to eat my meal with..(fork or spoon, and claimed they had no more sauce but spicy left...a wasted $15.00
Best brisket I have had outside of Texas. By a LONG shot. Normally wouldn’t be such a statement but every other play I have tried brisket in Alabama it tastes/feels like a slice of two day old roast beef. No place in/around Huntsville that I have tried can even compare when it comes to the brisket.
