This is a good choice for a sushi spot downtown. It serves up basic sushi fare but it is always consistent in quality and there is usually a seat available. We stopped in last night. BarChi did not disappoint. Our server, Jay, was phenomenal. He was very nice, coordinated and always smiling. Our food came out beautifully presented and on time. Highlights included king oyster mushrooms, tempura, spicy scallop handroll, and inari. After a dining fiasco at another restaurant the night prior, it was a pleasure to have Jay as our server. We will definitely come back. Vegetarian options: As in most sushi restaurants, plenty of vegetarian options are available
So freaking good. They have happy hour all Sunday. Got their Samurai Roll - probably the best Sushi I've ever had.
Great experience all the way around. Food was wonderful. Totally suggest the Nemo roll. It was delicious. Also the tempura cheesecake for dessert. It was really good with a light dusting of powered sugar and fresh Strawberry slices.
All was great except...the sushi rice was too mushy. They need to refine their prep for the rice and be sure to use the best quality. I am a sushi lover and have eaten from many places including many spots in Japan so I know my sushi! The rest was great -- great service from Justin, lovely atmosphere and didn't feel rushed. The design and look of the sushi rolls was amazing. The fish and other ingredients (besides the vinegared rice) were delicious.
We went for Happy Hour Sunday. The food was terrific! The Hamachi Kama was absolutely outstanding.
Love this sushi restaurant so much and have been a loyal customer for over 10 years. Only issue that is a huge concern is that last night I realized that there is absolutely NO BABY CHANGING STATION in either restroom. Huge problem. My son had an upset stomach and no baby changing station absolutely ruined my dinner. Barchi, please be considerate of parents and our children
Their rolls are always fresh and delicious. Cucumber salad was yummy
