We’ve been here twice now — once for dinner and once for brunch — and both times have been fantastic. We’ve never had to wait, which is a rarity for this area, and the food has been incredible and prices are very reasonable. Definitely a hidden gem in the heart of Back Bay!

Good all around bar/restaurant. The BLT grilled cheese sandwich, the chicken sandwich, salmon bowl and mediterranean bowl were all pretty good. Our server was very good. Drinks from the bar arrive pretty fast but the food order took a long time.

I used to be a regular here and the atmosphere is lively upstairs with a cozy downstairs, backed-up by attentive and friendly bartenders at both bars. Its usually packed on Fridays and Saturdays, with a live music gig below. Unfortunately, I cant give a convincing recommendation as i had to end my patronage abruptly after a rather unpleasant incident with the management and I usually like to avoid joints with any red flags.

Service ‍♂️ The staff at Back Bay Social were the unsung heroes of the night. ‍♂️ ‍♀️ Despite the lackluster comedy, they kept the show running smoothly, ensuring that the evening flowed as well as it could. Their attentiveness and professionalism shone through, even when the jokes fell flat. Decor Back Bay Social's decor is exactly what you'd expect from a classic sports bar. It's nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. The space is comfortable and unpretentious, perfect for grabbing a bite and catching a game with friends. Food ️ Now, here's where Back Bay Social really surprises! I'll admit, I had my doubts about the food quality at a dive bar/sports bar, but boy, was I wrong! My Mediterranean bowl was a flavor explosion, with perfectly seasoned ingredients that left me craving more. My girlfriend's burger was equally impressive, juicy and cooked to perfection. The food at Back Bay Social is a hidden gem, and I'd gladly return just for another taste of their delicious offerings. In Retrospect Our night at Back Bay Social was a mixed bag, but ultimately, the positives outweighed the negatives. While the comedy special was a disappointment, with crude, sexual, and sexist humor that didn't land with the crowd , the exceptional service and unexpectedly delicious food saved the evening. I've heard great things about their comedy nights, so I'm willing to give it another shot, if only for the chance to savor their mouthwatering dishes once more. Very nice location. Sat outside on a gorgeous day. Waitress not attentive. She almost charged my table for a dish that was never received. Patron adjacent to my table was puffing huge strawberry scented vape clouds every 5 minutes. Pretty obnoxious. No smoking regulations? Overall, a decent place to grab a drink. But nothing more.

Food & drinks: Food was ok, although they could not serve items during brunch that they have at other times of the day. But our experience was marred when 3 of our 7 orders never came at all. We ordered 12:50pm - we gave up as we had a 2p appt and left 1:43pm. The manager removed the items from our bill and promised to box the items to go. They never arrived. The 3 orders were tater tots, bacon, and a bagel in case you thought they were elaborate menu items. Bad service? Kitchen coordination? Both? YMMV
