Tres Leche birthday cake was absolutely Amazing. I was blown away & in heaven. Delicious & totally recommend this place for all your bakery needs! ❤️
If you like very sweet desserts this place is for you; otherwise, if you like mild-sweetened baked goods probably look elsewhere. The place is cozy inside, staff is very nice and friendly, they have great selection of tea and coffee; however, I tried 2 baked products and they were okay. Cheesecake was overpowering sweet, but I know some people like it, empanada was good, but a bit too dry, but I’m not sure if it’s how it’s suppose to be. I enjoyed my hot chamomile tea, but it was served in a to-go cup, which when heated emits harmful micro plastic. Other customers seemed happy, so I guess it is just picky me. I probably won’t be back though. The good thing is the place is affordable, so you can try it for yourself and see what you think.
Got some mini-cakes to celebrate my mom's birthday and some mini-cheesecakes. All were excellent, same with the Empenada! It's great to see such a high-quality small business! I will say, cost for what I got did seem a bit steep on the surface, but for what you get it's worth it. For a big celebration or just to get a mini-cake for fun it's a great place with great cakes.
Super friendly. Super helpful. Delicious cookies
We tried cake from several different bakeries around Metro Denver and Azucar was head and shoulders above the rest. We opted to do separate wedding cakes rather than 1 tiered cake. Each cake was a different flavor and was decorated differently. They were all delicious and gorgeous! We also ordered alfajor cookies for wedding favors. These are the best cookies! they boxed them up for us and they looked great. They were so easy to work with and we loved all of the delicious flavor options they offered. Our cakes were a big hit!
Ordered two wedding samplers from this bakery earlier this month. Due to my partner's almond allergy, I requested the one slice with almonds be clearly labelled. When I went to pick up, the woman who helped me quickly showed me the inside of the box before closing it up. I noticed that the flavors were labelled on the top of the box but wanted to be sure about which row of cake slices corresponded to the top and bottom labels. When she brought the second box out I used that as an opportunity to ask and she told me the top labels referred to the front row of cake slices. She then paused and said all except the last label as she had mislabeled it and those two slices were flipped. I asked her if the other box, the one containing the almond cake, were all labelled correctly and reminded her of his allergy. I honestly thought they would pack that piece separately, but it's fine as his allergy produces itching and hives not death. Anyway, she assured me that it was all labelled correctly in that box. I took it home and later found that some of the slices in that box were mixed up as well. He ended up not being able to sample any of the flavors from the box containing the almond cake for safety. As far as the cake went, it was fine. Nothing special. The texture was good, cake was moist, but the flavors were so basic. We had 12 different flavors in total and none of them were anything exciting. Chocolate, vanilla, marble, dolce de leche in both vanilla and chocolate, funfetti (who orders funfetti for their wedding??), etc. All of the icing was vanilla or chocolate buttercream and cream cheese. Fillings were lemon and raspberry. I knew this ahead of time but I guess I was expecting them to be a little more exciting? They tasted like box cakes and can frosting. It's 2024, mix up the flavors a little. Have some selections with lavender, basil, ginger, whisky, rosemary, orange, etc. Heck, there wasn't even red velvet or carrot but somehow funfetti made the cut? I thought for such basic cakes, the flavor would be amazing but it really was nothing special. Like Sunday potluck cake.
Amazing. Got both sampler cake boxes for my wife's birthday and the cake was some of the best I've ever had. Highly highly recommend!
I recently visited the Peruvian bakery and coffee shop, hoping to indulge in some traditional Peruvian treats. However, my experience left much to be desired. Firstly, the service was lacking as I had to search for someone to assist me, and even when I found someone, they seemed untrained and confused at the register. Despite managing to order a chicken empanada and traditional flan, my disappointment grew when I realized they didn't have the essential green sauce I was looking forward to. Additionally, their lack of inventory extended to the ice cream section and drinks fridge, leaving me with limited options. It's disheartening to visit a bakery with high expectations only to leave feeling unsatisfied and empty-handed. I hope the management takes note of these shortcomings and works towards improving the overall experience for customers.
We went in for a wedding cake tasting and got some chard (our favorite) and chicken empanadas to go! The empanadas were actually phenomenal... We will be back for them! As for the cake, all six flavors we tried were delicious. We couldn't actually make a decision.... I was especially delighted with the poppy seed cake (had never heard of just poppy seed cake) and the carrot cake, which surprised me! Both had a very well-balanced level of sweetness. James and his associate were both kind and very easy to work with!
