A nice, laid-back European cafe nestled in a slightly walkable area in Addison. And when I mean walkable, I'm talking 2 blocks (don't kid yourself, you can't use walkable and Dallas in the same sentence). The paninis and salads are delicious and well-crafted, my favorites being the Astoria and chicken melt paninis. One negative to note is that the food and drinks are overpriced. If I'm paying $7 for a beer, it's going to be in a world-class city like NYC, not a city full of office drones who moved only for a job but would rather live elsewhere. What really gets this cafe going is the atmosphere. It's perfect for a couple's night out or going out solo when you're feeling those "escape from Dallas" vibes.
I often have meetings here with people that I want to build a business relationship with. My most recent visit was unpleasant. My guest had a nut allergy and she couldn't drink the chai drink she ordered. (She didn't know there were nuts in this beverage). She was really nice and polite about but one of the managers came out and was very defensive about why this drink was still added to the tab. It made the whole experience unpleasant and made me feel super bad because I chose this place and was hoping she would have a good experience. I'm disappointed in the customer service (it came from a man who wasn't even serving us?). And I'm not sure I can invite other people to meet with me here.
Worst experience of my lifetime. Being costomer for many years. Came in with son after basketball game. Lady owner ( very rude and uneducated individual ) came and told us with commanding voice to move to a smaller table. Even do only couple tables was occupied. Chairs are old, very uncomoftable, everything is way overpriced and quality is not there. Never again.
I really liked this place. Small, cozy, and comfortable. I’ll definitely go back.
