Any dish you try will be fascinating, excellent food 100% recommended
Love this place! The owners are really nice people. We felt welcomed. Food was amazing and there were so many vegetarian options. We will definitely come back again to try other dishes.
The flavors are great! Unfortunately, I think we have more American preferences with texture, so half the dishes we ordered seemed too al dente or even more undercooked. Texturally, the penne and tagliatelle were best, but the spaghetti was not the most pleasant. I don’t know if you can ask for a more cooked pasta, but that would change things for us. Otherwise, great flavors and super kind group!
Lovely place! Recently came here and had the Tagliatelle with House Meat Sauce!Great food, great service, and extremely friendly and helpful staff! Some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had! Look forward to coming here again.
Very authentic tiny Italian nook. I was staying at the Holiday Inn nearby for the UIL Texas 6A Swimming & Diving Championships. I overslept and missed my ride to dinner, so I just walked around to see what I could find and followed Google Maps to this place. The atmosphere is very simple but clean. The Italian gentleman who greeted me at the door was very friendly and helpful. The big picture menu when I walked in was particularly helpful in choosing something that wasn’t TOO basic. I settled on the tagliatelle with ham and peas. It came out in probably 5-7 minutes (pictured.) The Sanpellegrino Lemonata and bottled water pushed my bill to $21. The pasta was al dente - which tastes undercooked to most American palates, but since I have been to Italy a couple times I knew this meant it was the real deal. It was delicious and I ate every bite. There weren’t explosions of flavor in my mouth that I found surprising and exciting (and maybe there was a tiny bit too much sauce) - which is why I didn’t give it a 5 - but it is totally solid. Also, while the restaurant was supposed to close at 9 (and I was the only customer there when I walked in around 8:15pm,) they didn’t turn away the 3 tables that walked in at 8:45-8:50pm. If you are looking for some great pasta without too much fuss at a reasonable price, this is a great option.
Real Italian pastas, the raviolis were great. Good desserts. If your are really hungry add an appetizer to your order, the portions are regular size
Food was great especially the gnocchi, although many of the items on the menu were unavailable. The service has plenty of room for improvement, I asked for carbonara and the cashier proceeded to explain how authentic it is and different to what I’ve had before (even though I’ve ate it plenty of times in Italy) and it ended up being unavailable!
If you are looking for authentic Italian pasta and a friendly atmosphere, I recommend Artipasta. If you’re looking for free breadsticks and salad , go to the Olive Garden.
