Apsara closed and it’s really sad!! Whatever is here now is without the awesome southeast Asian food
The place is now called Cielo San Marino. Ordered a Cappuccino and it's pretty good.
Hidden in a quiet place that gives a small-town vibe in the middle of a huge city. It is perfectly located in San Marino, a few minutes' walk/drive from Pasadena. They have coffee, beer, wine, sandwiches, and lunch items. I had their vegetarian sandwich and a latte - probably the best pesto sandwich I have had in quite a while. Right next door is a pizza place, and both of these stores share a common outdoor sitting. Workers there are also very friendly and welcoming. I only had a sandwich so I can't say for sure about other food items. That's why 4 stars for food. I'll try other things and base on the experience, I'll update the ratings. But the sandwich is a must try.
The owner i so nice as well as all staff and this is a great place to go after a Huntington Library trip and they have great Chana Masala!!!
The cappuccino I got had foam leaking on the side. The girl who made the cappuccino didn’t even bother to wipe it. Table was dirty. I had to wipe it with water twice to get rid of the sticky residue. Cappuccino was mostly just foam and bitter. Would not recommend if you’re looking for a good cup of coffee. Okay vibe for work / study.
Nice, cozy coffee shop tucked away in San Marino. Coffee and food was good. The ingredients in the breakfast burrito I got tasted homemade. The owner, Gaju, was very friendly. During the two hours I sat there, there were plenty of people coming in and out, heading a lot of hellos and good-byes. It has that air of a community kind of place. Plenty of food and drink options. Will definitely come back again.
