I'm hesitant to leave a good review because I don't want this place to blow up. It's honestly shocking to walk into a bar anywhere in NYC on a Friday night and not be crammed in like sardines while music plays obnoxiously loud. I don't know how they do it but Antler is a chill low key spot with a pretty big space in the back for small/medium sized groups. The prices are also incredible.
Favorite bar in NYC. Beautifully understated, tons of beer choices attached to a simple cocktail list, and just big enough to find a seat on a busy evening while still feeling cozy. It's everything you want it to be without the fluff; couldn't ask for more out of a neighborhood tavern.
Stopped in just for a moment to escape the weather for a while. It was unusually quiet being the Sunday post Thanksgiving holidays, but the Cab Franc (chilled) was great and just $5 at Happy hour. Additionally, they had many Non-Alcoholic options. The general atmosphere was great, very cozy, with a cellar/bunker/hunting lodge vibe, movies playing on the projectors and a pac-man arcade game in the back.
