Great Ethiopian food large menu and the food is amazing! Do yourself a favor and go here.
I've eaten here a few times, it's a lovely family run business. The decor may need a refresh but the restaurant is always clean and tidy. I normally order the Awaze Tibs and a coffee. As well as the food that they serve, they also sell some produce, like Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Coffee Beans (which is my favorite).
The best spot for Ethiopian food. Great portions. Friendly service. Great taste
Horrible experience. Very very prejudice to Black Americans. The man in the front sitting literally would not take my order. He looked me up and down after taking 2 other orders prior to mine. After taking my order I simply asked does he know how long it would take.. (I ordered to-go & I was going to come back) he ignored me. So I thought maybe he didn’t hear me. I said “excuse me do you know around how long it will take so I can come back” his response was “ it will be done when it’s done, if you can’t wait don’t eat here” I had to step back because I really wanted to respond to his attitude but I didn’t because then I would fit the cookie cutter America already places me in as the “angry black woman” … my first and last time ever ! And after reading the other reviews both negative and positive there is definitely a TREND in the negative reviews Mainly women & mainly women of Color. And not so much with the food, but with the respect and customer service from this PARTICULAR MAN to women.
Sign on the door says under new management with n opening date of 1/1/2022, but they are still renovating as if 1/14/22.
I have been coming to Mrs. Amy’s for years now and it’s always good. The service is wonderful, the staff are great, and the food is DELICIOUS! The food is always fresh. The restaurant is clean and well kept. Absolutely love it.
Food is INCREDIBLE. I recommend the Injera with the Dorrot Wot.
