I love Americana Taphouse!
Food was expensive and subpar to say the least. My son got a $30 salmon plate and it was SO salty. I got the Mac and cheese and not only was it cold when it came out out it left me with a stomach ache…
Never seems to be a great experience.
Our server, whose name unfortunately we didn’t get, dealt with our crazy 3 families with kids like a champ and never made us feel like we were annoying (even though we were!). Food was great and service was quick with a smile.
The food is good, but not knock your socks off. However we liked it enough to go back. The service is good under the circumstances. Arguably the most poorly managed restaurant you will go to though. We have been three times, and walked out the fourth time after waiting 20 minutes to even get water. Three out of the four times they were out of multiple dishes at lunch on a Friday or Saturday. Consider this is over the course of six months. How a restaurant 'chain' (they own multiple restaurants in the area) could be so poorly staffed and ran is beyond me. Thank goodness for good real estate and limited options in old town Franklin otherwise this place would be out of business.
I am from Kansa City, MO. I was visiting friends and I wanted to go to a local place. They took me to the Taphouse and man was this a great choice! I was going to order the Fish and Chips until they delivered the Pot roast to the table next to us. The smell of that pot roast made me change my mind and man did I ever make a great choice! I have never had such a delicious meal! 11 out of 10!
The food was absolutely delicious. Several beer choices including flights. The half chicken was expertly flavored and prepared. The cornbread was the beat I've had. It came with butter and honey, but it's not needed. The live entertainment was really cool. Great atmosphere. Great service. Parking: Limited parking in front of the building.
