American Airlines Admirals Club

Didn't pay to get in-- you'll have to pay for premium spirits drinks though. There was some confusion at the front desk when I entered. I have BA silver status but the counter staff didn't quite understand that I wasn't on the evening departure on British leaving Austin and asked me why I was taking an Alaska flight domestically constantly telling me I'm not allowed to visit the lounge when it is clear enough on the oneworld and british website that BA silver members are allowed entrance even when flying domestically on american/ alaska airlines on regular economy tickets. I had to go on the app and pull out my virtual card which she checked my membership number a few times before apologizing for the confusion which ate up 10 minutes of the time. There was a disgruntled customer in front of me who was refused entry as an alaska mvp or something like that who was flying domestic and was very rude throwing out nasty insults. The lounge is a bit hard to find and I got lost on my way there initially. Lounge looks terribly worn and dated although there are some quiet spots to relax. There is a small selection of fresh fruit and the soup and chili bowls are decent enough for a quick pre departure snack. Otherwise not much of variety for food and drinks in all honesty.

BA business class ticket, Worst international lounge so far, very little food options, cheapest alcohol served, anything more you have to pay, and they sell cheaper outside!. This can never be called lounge!

Do not waste money on a day pass. If you can gain entrance via your AA credit card or airline status, go for it. The lounge is fine. Better than waiting at the gate. But if you are desperate bc Austin doesn’t have an AMEX/Priority Pass lounge, do NOT waste the $79 on a day pass. Food options at the lounge are very limited. You can probably get something better for half the price at one of the restaurants around.

Equivalent to a free hotel breakfast for food. I would have rather spent some of my $79 on food within the airport.

The front desk and cleaning staff were great, and that's the only reason I'm pushing it to three stars. Can't say the same for the bar staff, who had a definite look of "What the **** do you want?" (and why is there even a traditional bar when self-service is both preferred by customers and cheaper to provide?). The lounge itself is too small for purpose and therefore cramped and stuffy - almost resented paying a business class fare considering the experience. Compared to the BA Galleries lounge at Heathrow that I enjoyed on my outbound trip, the Admirals Club was disappointing.

Not worth it. Centurion lounges are much better.

Great club...small but friendly, clean, and good food and service.

Amazing club with such friendly and helpful staff. The food has also improved and is really yummy at Admirals clubs. This club is worth a stop if you happen to be at AUS.

So small, cramped and crowded that you are climbing over people and luggage and when entering back into the airport you realize you were being deprived of oxygen. Would be better if they just closed this location down.
