Alamo Steakhouse

We asked a local where to get the very best steak. He recommended the Alamo. We bit. Unfortunately. The food did not live up to the hype. We ordered steaks , medium and medium rare. The steaks we cooked to death and of poor quality. No seasoning. We had to eat our sides and nothing else. Were not offered different steaks or a discount. Left angry and unsatisfied. Ended up at IHOP a couple of hours later. CWL

"THE STEAK" meal is awesome!

"The Steak" is what you want, it is a bone in ribeye that is so good! The sides are really good as well New York Strip is good also. Little pricey, but everytime I am in Gatlinburg area, it is a must eat place.

"The Steak" was the best steak I've ever had. Service and food were phenomenal!!! I'd give this place 10 stars if i could.

"The Steak"!! $34 20oz bone-in cedar smoked ribeye, let me tell you, I am a serious steak eater and this was BY FAR the BEST steak I have ever had!! Incredible flavor of wood smoked grill, and tenderness melt in your mouth! It was cooked to perfection when I asked for medium, and the wait staff were excellent! Well worth the price!

there was a time when this was my favorite Steakhouse in the world and I would have told everybody to go there. That time has clearly passed. The steak was flavorless it was a lot smaller than it used to be and it was a poor cut full of Gristle. Even on a slow night the service was very slow. The prices were high and there are just better Alternatives at this price point.

The best steakhouse around!!! Got the 20 ounce ribeye and it was the best I have ever had..wonderful waiter who was there for our every need..salad was big enough for a meal on it's on..very fresh food and family atmosphere

"The Steak" and petite filet steal the show!  Everything about our meal was delicious.  Almost everything was prepared perfectly.  Started the meal off with the cheesesticks, they were described on the menu as being handmade and breaded when ordered...they were warm and not oozing with cheese.  They tasted more like they were handmade and made earlier in the day and just heated up when we ordered them.  Moved on to the salad after that - delicious salad with nice fresh veggies.  Now comes the main course.  I ordered "The Steak" with mushrooms and onions.  So yummy and flavorful.  The bone-in ribeye was cooked perfectly and the marinated mushrooms were full of flavor.  My wife ordered the petite filet with grilled asparagus and hollandaise sauce.  Her filet was super tender and cooked just the way she ordered.  We would have preferred for the hollandaise to be used sparingly on the asparagus to let the tasty green stalks be the star of the show...but, they were drowning in the sauce.  As ill-prepared as this was, they still tasted great.Ordered a chocolate cake to go...finished that delicious dessert off at the cabin and called it a night.  Alamo came highly recommended from a good friend, and we will definitely recommend it as well.

Love this place. The salad is wonderful. The cinnamon butter on the rolls is delicious. The hot crap dip app was delicious. The horseradish crusted filet cut like butter. Yum yum.

All I can say is don't eat too much appetizer because the food is so good you will want to eat it all and won't be able to lol. I recommend the Ribeye! Tish is a great server!
