Pretty mediocre in every regard. Seemed fresh at least. Service was mediocre. Their understanding of specific Japanese dishes was atrocious. Ability to customize was non-existent. And you can't sit at the sushi bar which is a deal-breaker for me. Too much rice in the nigiri.
Amazing food experience! Fresh and tasty sushi made with love and at great price point which is not pricey. I felt lost with the variety of dishes in the menu. Rainbow roll and the one with eel are my top ones. If you are like me , the chef Larry is here to adapt any dish at your taste. I feel grateful for that. Akashi also has enough parking just on the back which is very important for me. Definitely highly recommended as best sushi in town
Have been going to Akashi for the last decade , but never again , food was not the same , service was ok , but to charge a measly.75 cents for a teaspoon of spicey mayo and another .75 cents for a teaspoon of eel sauce, on a $150 dollar order is ridiculous , I know might sound cheap but the spicy mayo always came with the shrimp dumplings and the replace it with regular mayo REALY! the noodles looked like the ones my mom used for chicken soup, rolls where not rolled tight, kept falling apart , and only the spicy octopus was good , until I saw what I paid for it , danger! I know everything is expensive today , but Akashi has come and gone for me NEVER AGAIN
I can see why Akashi has lasted long! Good portion sizes of truly fresh sushi, one of the best restaurants in Miami
Stick with the sushi. This is a $31 order of grilled salmon and steamed vegetables.
I love this place every time I go here I always have an amazing time. Their service is impeccable and their owner very friendly. The food was delicious, very fresh and tasty. And even the desserts are astounding and delicious.
