I'm from Chicago and this is the best pizza in this area
The service moves at the pace of a glacier in no particular hurry, but the pizza is good
Great place and Alexander was awesome! Would definitely come again. The pizza was so authentic Chicago. Yummmmm
Really good pizza, but the service leaves a lot to be desired- watching paint dry would be an accurate comparison as to the speed and efficiency at this restaurant
Delicious food, cold beer and great service!! If you love deep dish pizza you need to go visit this place!!
Good pizza, but horrible service- it's like the kitchen's run by a sloth who's decided to take things extra slow 24/7. Take your money elsewhere!
Pizza is superb. Why do they get a 3-star review? Simple I don't mind paying the $27 for a pan pizza. Taxes don't bother me. I tip really well in the restaurant but what I'm not going to do is order a pizza for pickup on the phone for less than 55 seconds and get charged 10% for a gratuity. $2.70 for picking up a pizza. Absurd! I know the cost of Labor have risen. But nonetheless employees are part of doing business. You cannot charge somebody 10% for picking up food. Just lost a good customer.
Amazing food! Wish they'd say the sodas are not free refills. Definitely will be back again though
The food was easily 5 stars. If their pickup system is reliable, I would try it. I am from the Chicagoland area and it is really almost as good as pizza from home. I am giving 3 stars because the experience besides that was bad. My boyfriend and I sat down in the early afternoon, one of two tables with 6 people total dining in the restaurant. We each ordered a deep dish pizza immediately when the server came to our table, and we asked how long it would take and were told 50 minutes. Long wait, but fair! Fresh deep dish can take time. Just over an hour later my pizza arrived. We were very hungry at this point so I shared a bit with him and then waited til he finally told me to eat my food while it was fresh. It took an additional 30 minutes for his pizza to arrive. I would have been well beyond done eating if I didn’t stop to wait the last 20 minutes. I worked in service industry for years (my first job being at Lou Malnati’s, a Chicago pizza place in Chicago), and I get that things happen. Pizzas burn, orders are made wrong, we are human. In this situation, I would have likely comped at least one of the pizzas, but at the very least I would have acknowledged the situation and apologized profusely. However, our server didn’t acknowledge the situation (as it was happening nor retroactively). While this pizza was delicious, I will not be returning. Despite the promise and getting my mailing address, I was never mailed the promised certificate below.
