Not safe place to spend your night at, bad food , very low class. And very pricey for no reason.

We were hoping to celebrate my wife's birthday at Zula after hearing good things, so I called ahead to check on reservations and table availability. I spoke with someone at the phone number ending in 4336 listed on their Google Maps entry who said we'd be fine just walking in, so we drove the 1.5 hours from Yonkers expecting a nice dinner out. Upon arriving, the odd security check gave us pause. At the host stand manned by two men and one woman, we were told by the man with a large cross necklace and fanny pack that it would be a $300 minimum for appetizers only at a cramped back table due to a private event. This was completely different from the impression I'd been given over the phone. I tried showing the man the recent call log demonstrating I had spoken to someone at the number ending in 4336 listed publicly to confirm these details, but he refused to acknowledge I'd called there or take any responsibility, brazenly claiming he did not know this phone number or who I may have spoke to. With his callous mannerisms, he felt reminiscent of an old-school mobster stereotype. Ultimately the mismatch between expectations and experience was too frustrating, so we did not stay to celebrate as planned. I would recommend Zula coordinate more clearly across staff about private events and updated policies, as well as ownership of how their public contact information is presented, to avoid disappointing booked guests in this way. For a special night out, driving far only to deal with incomplete information and less than hospitable staff like this man upon arrival was too upsetting to make up for. We likely will not return due to this experience and will make sure my friends or family don’t visit either. More care and coordination for booked patrons' time could go a long way.

the food very good and the servise and the manager very nice

Food quality not good , service was very unsatisfactory , prices compare to quality and quantity was high .was very disappointed !

RED FLAG!!!! THEY ONLY TAKE CASH The two guys in charge are the most disrespectful.Not only they don't have a menue, they make up their own prices, they even charged me and my friend different prices for the same order. when we spoke they treated us with a very disrespectful and gehtto attitude.
