It’s been a few years since I’ve been here. They have since expanded and have a lot more room to dine in. The bagels are still very good, but I was very disappointed about how much “Schmear” they put on your bagel. NYC bagels are known for having a lot of schmear on them, and this was not the case. I ordered a bagel with Lox spread( I had to tell the cashier that Lox spread is smoked salmon spread). When I got my bagel and opened it up, there was barely enough cream cheese lox spread to cover the bagel. Very disappointing. When I visit NYC, I usually eat at some of their competition, namely Pic a bagel, and Tal bagels. Both of these places Load the bagel with a lot of cream cheese thus “Respecting the Schmear”. Zucker’s bagels is a few dollars cheaper than those places, but I am happy to pay a couple of more dollars to get the big schmear.
Medium sized bagel specialty shop with an extensive menu. I must've spent five minutes just trying to decide what to order. Later I learned that their online menu has pictures, which would have helped a lot. There was a ten minute queue to order but we were able to find seats quickly. The place was full of people tucking into their bagels or deep in conversation so it was a bit hard to hear when my name was called to pick up the food. The bagels, of course, were delicious. I had plain cream cheese on pumpernickel. My companion felt that the toppings on the everything bagel overwhelmed the spread. Recommended for any bagel fan near Grand Central Station which was just around the corner.
I was on a birthday trip and It was an amazing experience here, enjoyed every bite of it :) so much fun would like to visit again Vegetarian options: The avacado toast is must to try!!!!
Zucker’s is our go-to for bagel breakfast at the office! Teresa and Lala take our orders with care and Arturo delivers the orders with a smile! Excellent food and folks. Thank you!
Small, local vibe. Good place for classic New York Bagels. Indoor seating & merch available.
Love love this place. Best bagels ever. Whenever I am in the city zucker’s is a must stop! Everything is fresh and delicious. Had a wonderful interaction with the Manager Mr. Braga, he was courteous and informed me on all the other Zucker locations, I did not know about. We chatted for a few about the renovated zucker’s on Lexington Ave. which I was at, absolutely fabulous. So spacious and nice vibe to have breakfast or just a cup of coffee. Thx Zucker’s
Employee told me they use frozen Bialys, cookies are old and tasted frozen, bagels ok, lox was good but you can definitely find much better bagels in the city.
Simply the best bagel in the world. We tried the egg cheese and bacon and the classic salmon and cream cheese one and we loved them.
