I am posting this review to help the owners of the restaurant. As Muslims we need to be transparent with the people we do business with, because we are answerable to Allah for our actions. My post might help the owners when they are questioned by Allah Subhanawu Taala. Insha Allah. I visited the restaurant with my family yesterday. When I paid the bill, I realized that my bill was higher than expected. There was a 15% charge added onto my bill which I didn't recognize. I clarified the extra charge with the staff and I was told that if you dine with a group of 4 or more people, then, the 15% gets added automatically. For example, if the total price of the items you ordered is $60.00 then a charge of $9.00 gets added on. I wasn't aware of this until I inquired. I would like to make others aware of the additional charge so that there are no surprises. I don't know whether this has been mentioned in the restaurant's menu. I am giving 5 stars because I want the business to be more successful than where it is right now. Food was good.
Ive been coming here for years now. One thing I can say is that the quality has gone down; but thats expected if cooks etc. are changing. For example, NEVER get wings or anything from a desi resteraunt; these should just be removed from the menu. The food here caters to the american culture/people who arent sure how good, authentic pakistani/indian food should taste, like the Nihari and Chicken 65 for example. But what I can say is that the Naan has always been top notch. However go with an open mind as well as to not expect to taste the food here as good as it is back home
Good food and the service was speedy/friendly. Definitely going back!!
Worst place to get the food. Service is poor. Gave the bossmen $20 to bring the food outside to my car. He kept the food with him almost 30 mins. He didnt even bother to bring it to me. I ordered mutton chops and shammi kababs. All of them were burned out just like his face and super salty. Careful, before you hit that place.
It's on the only surviving Pakistani restaurant there is in Austin and the best I pray they are more like it
It was a refreshing change to the same type of Indian menu items you find in Austin. The buffet had mostly meat items, liked them all. Special mention to the poori and halwa, both were great.
Disrespectful staff and very much unprofessional in customer service.
It was a pleasant experience.
