If you’re in grand central make sure to go to the one upstairs, they’re much more organized. The staff downstairs is disrespectful and rude
Went here for a strawberry cheesecake, and I was treated so rudely. They don’t answer their phone, don’t offer receipts, and they’re way overpriced. I will not return. Not to mention I ordered a bagel as well and it wasn’t toasted.
I want a refund for the crumb cake wedge I should have never been served. Not only was there a centimeter of cake, there was 2 inches of dry hard crumbs. I was served in a haste. $6.00 for garbage cake is unacceptable.
Love bagel and sandwiches
Coffee leaks through cups. Just as well--nasty stuff. But not cheap!
The food is ok. The service is chaotic. Plus there was something wet and sweet on my bagel. Not sure what.
I am a big fan of Zaro's for whenever I am traveling to Grand Central/Penn Station. I always look forward to stopping by. Their products are so fresh and amazing. Scott Zaro is also the best!!! I had a concern, and he was so quick to respond and address the issue. They went above and beyond. It was evident that the family really cares about what they do and their customers.
Rude cashier. Asked if I could exchange a bill, she said only if I buy something. Depending on what I bought) Rolled eyes when I said I didn't understand what she was saying to me when I'm a new customer and didn't know what their bagel is named. She didn't even speak clear English. Charged me 18 dollars for one bagel. 18 dollars to exchange a bill into smaller bills. Bagel tasted good, though.
SCAM WARNING: I stopped to grab a dozen cookies to bring with me to the office. The woman operating the cash register rang them up and said the total was $60. I scoffed at the price and told her I’ve never paid that much for cookies from them before, but she insisted that was the total. I acquiesced considering I was running late for a meeting, and after she charged me, I asked for a receipt to expense the purchase. She told me it was going to be a while, but I waited as something was very sketchy… after insisting she provide me one, she finally gave in and printed a copy. Lo and behold, it shows on the receipt that she discounted the transaction after she charged me, and refunded the difference of the charged price to the cash drawer. I just checked my credit card and I was absolutely charged the full price. Don’t eat here at all — they’ll overcharge you and keep the money for themselves. Despicable practices that are unacceptable and appalling, all over some generic, stale cookies.
It's convenient located inside Grand Central Station.
