I love it here. I’ve been eating at this place for almost a year and a half. The tteokbokki is really good - it’s probably the best rice cakes I’ve had anywhere
맛은 있는데 전엔 안그랬는데 점점 물이 너무많아지고 싱거워졌어요.
The food is so delicious. If there is one problem, it is really hard to order by phone. Even if I call during the opening hours of the store, I can't get through to the phone
I grew up in Korea and Yupdduk is my favorite ttoppoki franchise. I've tried 신전, 죠스, 조폭, 미미, etc and I always crave Yupdduk the most. I am grateful for this location but this location has definitely made its modifications. Pros: - I liked that the mild is actually mild. It's not non-spicy as this franchise is known for super spicy food but the mild from Korea is still unbearably spicy even though I am a spicy food enthusiast. So the spicy level is spicy but still manageable. - I like that they have smaller portions as the original franchise only offers huge portions. - The rice cakes are actually good texture. - Food so far I've tried has been a positive experience but nothing crazy mindblowing. The flavors are not as good as the original ones. - Service was good. The server was very polite. Cons: - It's not cheap. - We ordered the Spam Mayo Rice and I'd like to suggest a few things. There is too much mayo. It covers the entire top and it just overpowers everything. I think adding some sliced scrambled eggs and going halfway with mayo will make this dish worth to order each time. Has good potential. - I wish the ttoppoki flavors were more closer to the original for us paying such high price with expectations of the original franchise experience. Overall, I will be coming back when I crave ttoppoki and would like to try other things as well.
