Soup seemed like it was spiced with a ramen miso packet. Not rich or flavorful. Noodles are good though.
The noodles here are actually quite good. I especially like the Noodle with braised pork stew. However, this restaurant has a big problem: there is absolutely no service. When customers arrive, they are not even offered a cup of tea or water. I don't know how the owner trains their employees. The owner only gives Waitress a very low base salary and expects them to earn their income through tips, but owner don't teach or provide tea for the Waitress to serve customers. It's been years and there has been no improvement. This is unacceptable.
Some of the most affordable and great tasting bowls i had. One of my first ever noodle soups and holds a very special place in my heart. I come back atleast every 2 weeks!!!
I remember this place before they even moved into an actual restaurant, it was just a small stall shop on 49th street with just a standing table. I cannot find this flavor anywhere else!! I love every single dish here but especially the zhajiang mi xian (no soup version), the sour spicy dumplings, and the pork intestine noodles. this place has to be on my list of top 10 favorite noodles.
