A wonderful dining experience in Dallas. 33d Anniversary dinner. Not being familiar with Dallas, I googled "best steakhouses in downtown Dallas. Y.O Ranch was in the top three (along with Bob's and Dakota) Really liked the eclecticism of YO's menu. Prices were in line with the competition. Good reviews. We Ubered over from our hotel on Commerce St. Excellent welcome from hostess. Very nice ambience in a casual atmosphere. We both had the perfectly cooked, small Filet which was plenty for senior appetites. Split a Caesar salad as well as a huge baked potato and some asparagus. Wine list was good but unremarkable and we had a couple of very nice glasses each. Lot's of high end wine if that's your thing. Our server was great. Very attentive and prompt without making us feel rushed. Considering the choices of top flight steakhouse in Dallas, we were more than happy with our choice of YO Ranch Steakhouse. Great way to put a cap on our Dallas experience. Thanks so much.
The cowboy steak with bone marrow butter is definitely something that I'll dream about, and the molten lava cake was a perfect end to the meal.
Everything was fantastic! We enjoyed the wine, appetizers, entrees, desserts, and the service was friendly and very attentive. What a fun evening! Parking: Ample parking next to the restaurant.
Brought visiting family here for dinner and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 10/10 experience, would recommend to anyone.
Alan our waiter was outstanding!! He made the experience amazing!!
First, the good. The greens are the best I've ever had. Sincerely, they were amazing. The service was stellar. The atmosphere was elevated classic western steakhouse. The not so good? The pork belly was bland and dry, even though the greens it was sitting on were top tier. The venison appetizer was good, if under seasoned. The wild rice it was sitting on was dry and crunchy - it had simply dried out sometimes between being made and delivered to our table. The steaks were under seasoned. Bland. Top quality, but lacking in both salt and pepper. My ribeye was perfect medium rare. The wife's was definitely a hair past medium. We were made to feel welcomed and appreciated, but the delivered product didn't reflect the menu price due to a lack of basic care of ingredients and seasoning. I hope, given the popularity of the location, ours was an isolated incident. We mentioned everything but the seasoning on the steaks to our server, but he didn't seem interested in the feedback, which is why we didn't mention the rest. We enjoyed our visit, but not the food we had while we were there.
