Ying Dim Sum 蓝天点心

Dim sum place inside 88 market food court that serves some unique items not available at other places in the city. First, their rice rolls are quite thin and authentic, you can add an egg for 50 cents. Much better than the gloppy versions at places like minghin. The Mochi bbq pork bun is also quite good in terms of texture but a bit on the sweet side. They also serve a wonton soup that is pretty awesome for only $8. It comes with a ton of mini wontons that you don’t find at many other Chinese places. Only downside is this place can get crowded and they do take a bit longer than other places since their kitchen is smaller.,

Dimsum is not bad. What was annoying was when I thought we did not get a dish (we already did, I just forgot ) so I went back up to ask for the same dish and a lady gave it to me. Then when I walked back, I realized we did get the dish, thinking it was no big deal we ate it. Then all of a sudden the lady that gave me the dish earlier came back out demanding we pay for the dish. I agreed and went to go pay, in which a nice cashier said it alright and we don’t need to pay. Few mins later the lady came back out screaming saying we wronged her. Being a bit annoyed now since the lady made a scene over a few dollars we went back up to pay. The only plus was a nice cashier only charged us a dollar. How petty can you be to make a scene over a few dollars over a small mistake.

The Congee is sour . The meat smell so bad like putrefaction and fermentation. Never come again.

Great food

Arguably one of the most authentic dining places in Chicago's Chinatown neighborhood. The choices are wide and the food is very authentically Chinese, as pointed by my Chines friend who introduced me to this restaurant. Everything is fresh and delicious. Prices could be a bit cheaper since this place runs like a fast food restaurant; you order, pay, wait for your food to be prepared and then you take your tray to one of the tables in a sort of food court seating area. Coffee is not available but you can bring your own from elsewhere.

If I can give this place zero stars I would. I called in and specially request no onions. I came home (15-20 minute drive) and there was onion. Called and the lady say they will replace it when I go next time. Then they called me back asking for pictures for proof. Sent it and then they called back claiming that it was impossible. The owner called me back personally and state that she was the one who made my order and that she was sure there was no onion. She was accusing me that I was lying!! This is not the first time this has occurred that’s why I called in to let them know. Instead of expressing that they were wrong they accused me of lying. Here’s the photo and also the so order receipt. I won’t be ever going back here!! Avoid at all cost
