Yemen Cafe impressed me with its array of delicious dishes. While I typically enjoy spicier food as an Asian, I found their offerings to be flavorful, a bit lighter on the spices. The dishes looked and tasted delicious overall. However, I found the prominent distinct smell of the lamb to be a bit off-putting.
Been going here forever. The best thing to get is the lamb haneeth, a classic. Deliciously paired with a bone broth soup and salad. The salta is also really yummy which comes bubbling in a clay pot. Of all the meals Ive had here never came to disappoint. Oh and the best part you cant forget the Yemeni tea at the end
Lamb Haneeth was really not uncooked and very chewy and hard. Hummus was also not fresh or at least tasted so so.
Food was delicious at a reasonable price and service was excellent. Thank you for everything
My first time eating Yemenese food. It was very comforting, and the spices remind me of my recent trip to the Mediterranean. I went for lunch and the staff was very helpful. The portios are shareable, and the atmosphere gives luncheonette. Very cleanly and well-organized, the aromas coming from the kitchen are intoxicating! If you like Lamb, they have a great selection of menu items. I can't wait to go back and try some different dishes. Oh yeah, there's a self-serve station of hot tea that's a must-have❣️
The food is always comforting. Complimentary soup, bread, salad and tea. Never disappoints. The lamb haneeth falls off the bone and tastes so good with the rice. One of my favorite places.
