As a Japanese customer, I would say it is authentic. Unfortunately, it is permanently closed on Jan. 14, 2024. I miss this restaurant!

Good hotpot in midtown , good special after 5 ! Gave us a little bit of everything for 80 plus tax. I would come back to this place

Authentic, tasty and totally worth it. Servers are Japanese I guess. And I also fine Japanese people eating there. Love the meat and the sauce! Will visit again. Saved!

Terrible service, no water, food was extremely slow to come out, and the waitress forgot to put in orders of food. The waitress saw we were visibly upset and unhappy because of the horrible service and slow speed, so guess what she did? She forced a 20% tip on us! Yikes.. And she didn’t seem apologetic AT ALL even it’s totally her fault that she didn’t put in the order, plus the terrible service. Would not come back again. This place used to be my favorite but I’ll never come back again. It’s also very costly with the mediocre quality of food. Average I spent was $90 pp.

Just okay

It is what I expected, a little bit on the pricey side but acceptable for mid town west upscale Japanese restaurant.

I almost never write reviews but the experience was really worth warning others about. The service was the main factor here. The amount of times we had to walk up to get service was maybe 10 times. We were seated and no menus for a looong time. We had to go up and get menus. In between putting our order in and getting the food, a server wouldn’t come to our table. They brought out our food and didn’t bring the soup and steamed rice which is only thing our kids were going to eat. Had to go up to them about 3 times to get them to bring it. We saw they were busy and all this would have been ok. We felt so bad going up to them but they were actually rude when we would ask just for the food that we ordered. Would NEVER come back. Food is alway very very average. Really NOT worth the price. The meat was tough except for a few cuts. Anddd you have to order every single side which gets pretty crazy. Don’t go here. There are so many better places to eat

Horrendous service, felt bad that the two servers were so busy but they had really rough attitude, even the steamed rice took half an hour to order. Do not recommend this place.
