So good. Must get the dumplings and noodles! The teas are unsweetened which is perfect for when the noods are spicy lol

5 stars. Overall what I had reminds me of the food my mom makes sometimes, and overall a great place for Chinese food.

Nice staff! The flavor is quite good! We had 腊汁肉夹馍，岐山臊子面，豆花, all very good.

Not for vegetarians.

This restaurant is not for vegetarians anymore! Even their most famous item like the spicy cucumber has completely changed since COVID and their aggressive expansion. It just does not taste the same. I will also warn you that there is absolutely nothing that is vegetarian here anymore. This is a dark difference from their offerings. pre-COVID. Keywords: no veggie options, not vegetarian friendly Vegetarian options: There are no vegetarian options here. Xi'an Famous Foods restaurant is no longer vegetarian friendly. You will go hungry here and even their signature item like the spicy cucumber has completely changed after covid and their expansion.

Once in a while, I crave Szechuan food. I had only ever eaten at other Xi’an locations. This one was slightly disappointing just because the servings of pork and lamb and the sandwiches were much less than at other locations. I don’t really like the bread they use on those burgers, by design, they’re only value that they sop up the juices from the meat, but in this case, both sandwiches were very dry and it just didn’t work. Secondly this is not unique to this location, these dishes really aren’t “fresh food”. It’s a whole lot of processed food, oils, and pastes to make the seasonings. Once in a while, I might get a craving for spicy hand puller noodles. I’m talking once a year. That’s the only time I would ever come here. All in all it’s not terrible but it’s definitely not great either. if you have a particular craving for some Szechuan food and you are close by, that would be the only reason to ever eat here.
