Working Man's Friend

It says it in the name! Cool “old-school” place that mostly serves “working men” during lunch. This place has AMAZING burgers and onion rings. Need to try if you’re looking for a great burger in town.

It was my first time here. I had the shrimp, fries and coleslaw platter and sweet tea. The portion size was like a kids meal especially compared to my friend's burger and sweet potato fries. The food was ok , just not enough given for $13 plus. Cole slaw tasted old. I asked for a to go cup , and was told that they didn't have any which I found rather strange. The total meal added up to over $26 . Service was pretty fast. My friend and husband has been there before and recommended this place. I've driven by before but never have been. Maybe next time I'll try something different like a burger or tender loin and onion rings. Also the waiter we had she never once refilled our glasses. The one time she was going to I had to ask. I saw the other waitress kept refilling her customers glasses which I thought was really nice of her. Not sure if she was new or not.

What a fantastic old working man's hangout. You could tell time stood still. Just what you would expect, the service was exceptional, food was nothing fancy, but good. Good drinks. Beer served in a large Margarita glass. All in all, try it, a down to earth place.
