I ordered the winter citrus salad, a side of brussels sprouts, and the grilled lavender sourdough and I have to admit, it was absolutely delicious. That being said these were the only three items on the menu that could be made vegan… The ambiance was nice and the service was pretty good, although everyone seemed a little frantic, and it wasn’t even a busy night. More vegan options please!! Vegetarian options: Very few vegetarian options and even fewer vegan offerings.

We came here because we have the dining out passbook. The happy hour offerings and prices were decent. Unfortunately the passbook is good for just 6-ish items on the menu and are limited if you have dietary restrictions. I ordered an option off of the shareable items part of the menu - the fungi pie - which sounded much better than it tasted. When I presented the passbook, our server quickly dismissed it since I had not ordered an entree. The fungi pie was a happy hour item but, of course, she didn’t ring it in before 6pm (even though we got there at 5:30). Her response was “there’s always next time!” Um no, there won’t be a next time. My partner did order the steak special which he enjoyed at least since we were dining for his birthday.

One of the BESTTT burgers i’ve had that was 100% gluten free. At first, I wasn’t sure what to make of the place. It seemed like just another basic indie style restaurant, that was conventionally located next to my hotel. Upon my arrival, I learned my judgment couldn’t be any further from the truth. Once I was seated, I couldn’t help but notice most of their customers were locals, so that says enough about the quality of the restaurant- you would think since it was connected to a hotel that it would be more touristy. I even got confirmation from 3 of the tables nearby that Wooie Fisher was one of their top choices in the city. Now, with that being said, the only reason I am giving a 4 out of 5, is due to the service. Our waiter was a bit flustered- which I understand, we all have our days. But, she ended up having us pay the wrong tab, which was double what our bill was, so it was a bit of an inconvenience. Nevertheless, I will be back on my next trip to town.

The atrium is open and airy while the bar side is darker and cozy. Nice aesthetics in both and the food hasn’t disappointed so far. The servers were all friendly and check on you often, but not too often. I usually recommend this place to people visiting town. Parking: Valet parking is available at the attached hotel. It’s free but always nice to tip them when they bring your car back. Wheelchair accessibility: ADA compliant

Popped into this place because the restaurant I was going to go to originally was closed for the day. What a pleasant surprise! The staff was very friendly and accommodating from the time we stepped into the restaurant. There were 3 of us, and we shared a sourdough app, which was done well. A hint of lavender added such a dynamic to a simple dish. I ordered the duck. Others in my party ordered a chicken Caesar salad and a hamburger and fries. Everything was seasoned well and present perfectly. The wine list is limited but has excellent selections. Almost every wine is available by the glass, which isn't always the case in many restaurants. We all shared the smores brownie for dessert, and it was done perfectly. I would recommend this place for basically any occasion. The atmosphere is very inviting, and the building has a lot of character, being that it is historic. There is plenty of room at tables, booths, hybrid booths, or the bar. My friends and I can't wait to return to this establishment, as we are thinking it will be our new happy hour spot! The prices are reasonable as I believe them to be less expensive than other restaurants in the area.
