Wonder Bar

Great drinks, best atmosphere by far at the domain.

Very cute bar, each room had its own theme, and i loved the decorations. The dj was doing a great job too, wish i would’ve gotten a drink here to give a review! But it was a whole lotta fun!!

WARNING Racist Establishment! Went last night with a couple friends and only 1 bouncer stopped someone bc her Id was Foreign(Mind you we have never been stopped before from entering a bar). The ID was checked and was valid, with a Picture on it too. He kept asking for a second form of ID, and when she showed him her debit card with a matching name he continued to refuse. When we asked him what form of ID does he need he wouldn't answer and blocked her from coming inside. This is disgusting behavior, and illegal. Im glad they lost out on a few hundred $$ from out group as we all left. Some other bouncers apologized but only made excuses for their coworker.

Me and my friends went out the other night for our 21st birthday (me and my friends are birthday twins if you can believe it). When we got to the bar, the bouncer did not believe me when I told him I was 21 and said even if you were 21, you look too trashy to get in. Mind you I was wearing my favorite button up shirt and these new black pants I got specifically to go out. I got denied while my friend got let in. Of course we decided to not go in since they were being rude to me.

Service was slow, almost as if I was getting ignored, but the weird part was everyone else was being attended.

This place is awful do not go here!!! It is really all looks but there are so many better places in Austin. I hate places that claim they're inclusive but it's only performative and when it's convenient for them. Bouncer was giving me a hard time about being let in when I had a valid government issued id, I am of age and was being patient. He kept telling me to show him a different id but this is my id and I even offered to show them my debit card with the same name or have them scan it, but the white guy at the door was not listening to us and kept repeating to me to show him a different id. Went out to celebrate my friends birthday and this interaction ruined my night. They made it such a huge deal when l've been out of state multiple times and never have had problems with my identification. Only when I told them we were leaving because they were being racist is when they finally listened to me and let me show them my debit card like I had offered in the first place. Austin is so diverse I don't understand why I was treated this way with their RACIST STAFF. If I could give them O stars I would. DO NOT COME HERE !!!!

I went to wonder barn the other night with some friends, and had the worst night. We had gone in after immediately having issues with the bouncer, we are all well over 21 but he did not want to let us in no matter how much proof we provided. It wasn’t even a busy night and he still refused to let us in so I think there may have been some profiling going on. Once we managed to settle that dispute, we made it in and waited 25 minutes for drinks that never came. The staff did not even bat an eye toward us all night, even after asking for help. After this we left and went across the street to much better places. Thank you wonderbar for wasting an hour of our lives!

Showed up with a group of friends hoping to have a good time and left insulted and discriminated. Bouncer checked my ID and as I was walking in he put his hand on my chest to stop and check my ID again. He then continues to do the exact same thing to my group of five. Once we got in,the bar staff ignored us and then got our orders wrong. Place looks great, staff aren’t.
