Don't get me wrong, the pastries were great, but they are supposed to be open at 10, and no one showed up until about 20 minutes later. No apologies. No acknowledgement whatsoever. And I wasn't the only one waiting.
The best sweet honey twists in Los Angeles. I make sure to stop by anytime I am close by and pick up a pack. Sweet, crunchy, savory and amazing! Parking: Paid parking lot near by is $10 all night, lit pretty well but accessible for wheelchairs. Metered street parking is available but make sure to check signs for selective street closures. Wheelchair accessibility: Business is accessible from the street or from the parking lot close by.
It’s a nice bakery for some delicious snack, but it would be great if they had a great atmosphere.
Year after year the baos have less filling. Even around Chinese New Year the Bao is empty with 3 slivers of meat and minimal sauce. They put a notice that due to inflation they would be using less. But my Bao is effectively empty.
No more the price-friendly option in this touristy plaza, this old-school Chinese bakery continues to serve up to the community new and old. Sign of the times and survival necessity, I continue to be very happy to see business as usual. The same old favorites are still available, and now they can be found wrapped in plastic for self-service along with the items behind the glass bakery case. The additional drink options include bobas and slushies is a welcomed new treat. The staff continues to be friendly and welcoming, and I continue to reminisce about the days of cash only and chatting with auntie who used to run the show giving me a free bun or two when I purchased dozens.
Best strawberry sponge cakes! Plus, super wonderful customer service as well!
Purchase a tiramisu cake and Chai tea here. The cashier was very polite and helpful. She helped me choose my drink. I got the milky Chai Tea, which tastes like "spice." Almost taste like horchata but also like a cinnamon cake. I can't really describe it, but I do recommend coming here if you ever visit. Five stars because it was so welcoming.
Great staff and delightful pastries
