Wintzell's Oyster House

My gumbo was horrible…no where near authentic. The spices were disgusting in the gumbo. Items were left off my order. I had to request the items that were left off the order. The waitress was just okay…she was ripping & running. It didn’t seem too business with patrons. She was very quick to walk off after ordering the appetizer but I personally wanted to add another item. My husband enjoy his food except for the cole slaw. The shredded cabbage was swimming in a Mayo mixture. Looked like it was store bought. The other part of my food was good. What I will recommend are the grilled shrimp, fried shrimp, & the catfish. Also my husband loved the fried green tomatoes.

I was so excited to be able to have dinner here for the first time !!!! The food was quick to come out and AMAZING!!!! The fired green beans were delicious! The steak was cook perfectly. Everything was great! The service, the atmosphere was awesome! It's been a long time since my husband and I had the chance to go out, let alone have everything be so good at a restaurant!! Can't wait to go back !

Great food and service. Had the grilled sword fish and was delicious. Would eat here again!

This is an excellent restaurant; it's worth the drive from Huntsville. The food is excellent. Our waitress was friendly, prompt & attentive. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We went out for a nice dinner for valentine day at our favorite place. But tonight will be the last Salmon not cook done it was cold on the inside. My husband said he was not that good. And the manger took my dinner off the ticket. Very overpriced meal that I wouldn’t feed to my dogs

The food is OK. I wouldn't recommend going if you have any dietary restrictions. The staff was friendly. The star of the menu is the fried green tomatoes with crawfish sauce. Dietary restrictions: Not a good place if you have GERD or IBS.
