Wing House Grill Watkinsville

Came here with my parents on a Saturday afternoon. It was already packed. However, we were able to quickly be seated inside. It took a few minutes longer than we expected to order. Our server was extremely busy, apologetic, very friendly, and personable. Our wings were delicious, and my father loved the philly cheesesteak sandwich. The fries and the coleslaw were very delicious. The only complaint is a very small one that we had trouble hearing as the sound in the restaurant was very loud when it was busy. When a lot of families left, it was easier to hear. Hopefully we'll be coming back soon!

Normally I would never leave a bad review, but this time I am making an exception. When you spend $40+ on a meal out, I expect better—but maybe not after COVID. Here’s what went wrong: 1.The fries came out soggy and OLD. So we sent them back for fresh fries. So much better! Why didn’t they serve them that way from the get go? 2. Wings they sent out not fresh or good. They made a new batch for us—10 times better!! Again, why wasn’t that served to us in the first place? 3. The sodas we ordered never came out, so we had to remind them about it. 4. The side salad ingredients were good but had some major amounts of red onion. Red onion is an overwhelming ingredient. No lie there was 1/2 a chopped onion in the salad. A lot of time was spent fishing out the thousand bits of onion. 5. And to top it off, the salad dressing came out wrong. 6. Not the cleanest place. We sat on the patio and I liked the lights that were strung. I would really like to see this place make it, but I will never be back unless someone convinces me otherwise that it has majorly improved. I’m not a restaurant owner, but isn’t the main ingredient of success doing things right the first time? The ONLY redeeming quality of Winghouse was the second server we had who spent a lot of time righting every wrong.

The staff here is great! My favorite menu items are the chicken Philly and the burgers. They also have the best salad in town! I think some of the more recent reviewers have never worked in a restaurant. You really have to give a new restaurant a few weeks to get settled and figure it all out. Try it again in a month if you weren't happy. Your loss if you don't.

As someone who has been eating at Winghouse at its various locations for years, I was highly disappointed with the new Watkinsville location tonight. The food was SLOW to get to us after ordering and was room temperature by the time we got it. One order that was supposed to be traditional wings came out as boneless. Another order of tenders that was supposed to be lightly fried (a request that the has always been honored at all other Winghouse locations) came out extra crispy. The waitress probably couldn't hear the order very well, which brings me to my next complaint - the interior design of this location is poorly done. It is all wood and concrete with nothing to absorb sound so all of the sounds from the music to the patrons talking just echoes around making it extra noisy and impossible to hear the people at your own table. I fear this location will ruin the reputation of what has been a great restaurant up until now.

In the past 2 1/2 weeks, we’ve ordered from Winghouse three times. Twice in Watkinsville and once at the Athens Location. Every single time not only was the order wrong, or missing items, but the one time we dined in at the Watkinsville location our wings were cold and gross. The order we got from Athens had boneless wings in it and they were the size of grapes. This last time we got a to-go order from Watkinsville . My lemon pepper wings had no seasoning and were way undercooked. Just naked, soggy wings, and my husband‘s chicken sandwich was supposed to be all the way only we were missing all of the all the way items. As expensive as they have become, that will be our last time having Winghouse.

First time visiting here . Wings were meaty , well prepared, Cole slaw and fries were delicious. Tea was really sweetened just right. We will be returning soon and frequently.
