The grocery bill was a bit lower. I'll have to get used to how the aisles are set up.

I LOVE this store... UNTIL I go to the checkout. One staff lane and 7 self-checkout. Seems like it's a minimum of 2 self-checkout machines are down, on Average. Of the 7, only 3 can take cash at all (and usually one of the broken). 90% of the time (being generous) there is a line for checking out, and the holdup is usually on cash accepted machines, and can be empty card only machines (no credit card accepted). If you don't mind a line because the store management are low IQ, it's a great place to shop.

it feels like every time i go they only ever have one lane open. it takes an incredibly long time to checkout even if you have only a couple of items.

***update 2*** Removing ANOTHER star. the checkout lines nearly reached the meat aisle in the BACK of the store at 9pm tonight. The line must have been 45-60 minutes long. I turned around and left. There were plenty of abandoned carts full of groceries showing others had done the same *Update (#1)* Removing a star after waiting 25 minutes to check out recently. Non-peak hours are fine, but they absolutely need to have more cashiers during busy times (Original) Great selection and decent prices. Bulk and produce sections are good (there’s always fresh ingredients for big batches of pico and guac). Checking out is always so so so incredibly slow - that reason alone often prevents me from shopping here more often

Love me some Winco. Very low prices, plenty of everything and clean. Awesome produce section and meat market is stocked very well. I highly recommend a trip to Wisconsin. Any Winco.
