overall, this was a bit of a let down. given the reputation of this place (and the prices), I expected to be blown away but I was a little underwhelmed. I found the fried eggplant dish to be too sweet in an unpleasant way. the hash brown and chicken and waffles were both pretty good in my opinion but for me, not worth the price or hype.

My husband and I were visiting from Seattle and had been told this was a must try and we were not disappointed. The restaurant itself is busy but cozy and cool. Every dish we had was incredible. Scott and his front of house staff were an absolute delight. It was our anniversary and they definitely made us feel special. We'll be back for sure! Pro tip - make a point to hit their bakery across the street as well. The mochi donut is where it's at.

I came with a group of 6 for a friends birthday, and communicated to the host that we will sit outside, and she agreed and didn’t say anything negative. Later some other waiter/manager came and told us we shouldn’t have been sitting in the empty outside seating area! No communication- ruined our night! Totally unprofessional Super disappointed We left angry- this is not okay at all- Never experienced this in any restaurant Is it because we are people of color? Unbelievable

The manager (?) is incredibly rude- blonde, tall, short hair. We were a larger party, which was communicated to the host. When we went to sit, we rearranged the tables. Instead of letting us know the at isn’t allowed, he approached us with extreme attitude and cruelty asked “what the psychology of this choice” was, as if speaking with kindergarteners. I was taken aback by the lack of hospitality training he exhibited. Then instead of simply asking us to put the tables back, he continued to berate us. It was so surprisingly unkind, we simply chose to leave before ordering. Adults should know how to communicate- adults in the service industry especially so. What a shame that they have such an awful person running their establishment.

That sloppy pork bao is hands down the best bao bun I’ve had in my life. So scrumptious and delectable. I would come back just for that. The noodles are fire also. Finally understand why people talk about this place so much

Whenever I visit NY, I make sure to stop by Win Son as it is one of my favorite places to eat. Last night, however, that changed for me. After the host let us know we could sit outside (there was a long wait inside & no one outside), we moved the tables / chairs so we could all fit in the (currently empty) space. A few minutes later, the manager / waiter came outside to speak to us and was extremely rude. He said he was “trying to understand the psychology behind this” re our choice to move the tables. He continued to tell us we were being disrespectful & ask why we thought it’d be okay. We would have been happy to move the tables back or re arrange, now knowing the restaurant’s preferences, but were taken aback by his aggression towards us & ultimately decided to leave. We’d picked this spot for my friend’s birthday as it is one of their favorite places to eat & I left feeling upset, hurt, and disappointed. Asking for shift in the table / chair arrangement is a fair & understandable request from a waiter, but beginning a conversation by berating us for breaking rules we weren’t aware of left me feeling really uncomfortable.

Fantastic food! Expected that this might be something similar to restaurants we go to in London but it was completely different. Portions were great and so so tasty. We turned up at 6:30 and were seated in 45 mins. Would 100% recommend.
