Wilton Creamery

My boyfriend and I were here wayyyy too many times during our week long trip to Fort Lauderdale. This place is fabulous. The staff is wonderful, it’s such a cute store and the ice cream flavors are incredible! Justin helped us most of our many times and he was so friendly and wonderful to deal with. He’s an absolutely fabulous employee that they are lucky to have! Plus, you get great portion sizes for your money. Definitely the largest scoops I’ve ever seen at an ice cream place. There’s so many different varieties of options. They have dairy free and dog friendly ice cream, as well as milk/boba tea of many flavors! They have many different kinds of milk for milk tea/shakes! I can’t say enough nice things about this place. We loved it so much. They also have a wonderful rewards program where you register your phone number and after 10 items you get a free one scoop with unlimited toppings or 5.95 off a different item. Make sure to get an ice cream flight in order to sample many different kinds of their lovely ice cream or even get a banana split with three different kinds in it! There’s also a large variety of different flavors whipped creams to really complete your ice cream. You can’t go wrong at Wilton Creamery!

Lots of vegan/dairy free options for my partner that he thought were delicious! However I would have preferred an allergy scoop after discussing with staff that I am gluten free. Yes, they have things labeled, but the people working there said that the labels were out of date, they allowed me to look at the bottle of caramel sauce to confirm it was safe. Lots of cross contamination in the topping section (cookie crumbs in the candy, candy in the cookies etc.) And right before scooping my ice cream all the labels fell into the ice cream bins... definitely not sanitary. This is the only ice cream shop I've gone to in years that did not do an allergy scoop (opening a new container, getting a new scooper, wearing gloves etc.) where I live you don't even ask, as soon as you say you're gluten free, they do an allergy scoop. I understand places are different - maybe this is something that could be implemented here if there are lots of other gluten free folks! Edited after receiving a response: I was less specific in my review (and have not edited it) saying I am gluten free, but very specific with staff, stating that I have a severe gluten allergy. After stating that I have a severe gluten allergy they mentioned that the cards may be out of date and offered me to review the back of a topping bottle to confirm. That was considerate. They did not however offer to perform an allergy scoop or get fresh toppings. Glad to know you will do an allergy scoop- if the magic words are "I'm celiac", as opposed to "I have a severe gluten allergy," I'll remember that should I stop in again. Dietary restrictions: Vegan and dairy free options but I would not recommend for celiac due to cross contamination.

Great little place for ice cream. Interesting flavors. The Triple Rum Rasin is delectable!
