Celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary on a trip to California to see the Redwood Forest. Dinner was at Wildseed in San Francisco. Incredible meal. Darren at the bar was incredibly attentive and personable. The meals were clever and tasty. I had the Wildseed burger. The sauteed onions and adding the pickled vegetables to the burger was over the top. French fries were lovely and the curried ketchup was finger licking good. Steve had the meatballs masala bowl, which was delicious too. We shared the strawberry rhubarb crumble. Perfect flavors. I would have removed a star as we had to sit at the bar as they were very busy, but we didn't have to wait long for drinks nor meal and Darren was awesome. So all the stars well deserved!
Awesome food, service could be a little better except the hostesses were really great
Fourth time here. Wildseed always delivers great food with friendly, proactive service. I am a vegetarian and prefer food that is inherently vegetarian/vegan rather than veg/vegan versions of dishes. So I tend to be leery of vegan dairy alternatives. But the feta served here as part of the mezze platter is so good that I prefer it to actual feta. Whatever seasonal pizza is on the menu is usually great. Neatball masala is a solid stand by as well. I appreciate that the salad dressings are properly zingy and not flat oil slicks. Props to the kitchen and front of the house for a wonderful experience each time so far! Vegetarian options: Completely plant based menu.
Really surprised by how much I liked a vegetarian place! Hummus plate was amazing!
