The venue is quite pleasant, with consistently great music. While the food and drinks are decent without being exceptional, the staff's demeanor varies – some are friendly, while others may come across as abrasive. Nonetheless, they contribute positively as assets to the neighborhood.
Came here tonight to dine in for the first time for happy hour . I came here before for take out . Came here with friends this evening . When we walked in we weren’t greeted . We said we are here for happy hour the lady seem like a liar . She tried to say there isn’t happy hour on Friday we told her we called before we came . So she said on thurs there is no happy hour . Any way for happy hour you’re only allowed to order wings only you can pick any flavor . We each choose our flavor . You get six wings for $10 . You get to choose a drink of your choice which is only happy hour options . We both got rum punch it don’t seem strong but it sneaks up on you . The drink is $10 as well . I honestly didn’t like the wings much at all . The waiter was cool I just didn’t like that he was about to charge us for three rum punch when only two was ordered . It’s $10 each for drinks . I feel like they try to over charge people if you don’t watch your bill .
Food was really great. Customer service was awesome; everybody was just friendly and they made you feel welcomed. Great music. Perfect vibe. Best place to go and have a good time.
The ladies are very friendly. The oxtails was a waste of my money. They need a good chef to cook. Great location, friendly staff, great ambiance but the food is a hit or miss. No consistency, hire a good chef or you will loose customers
A repeat customer!! Oxtail was great. Love the rice and peas!
The ambiance here is nice and they play good music; but the food was less than mediocre and was lukewarm when I got it. Many of the menu items weren’t available, so I finally ordered the shrimp empanada but had to ask for every condiment(salsa, sour cream, hot sauce). After trying to jazz my empanada up myself, I took a few bites but was dissatisfied with the taste. The server was great but at times took long to check on us. The bathroom was so disgusting that I turned right back around. Overall, I won’t be returning.
I would like to not have to admit that most Caribbean restaurants that I have experienced in the Jamaica area have offered rude customer service. I went to Wild Onions today 12/23/3 about 3:30 pm. There was a young lady behind the counter. She can tell that I was elderly and I can tell that she was young . I asked for a physical menu. She pointed to a blackboard on the wall behind her plexiglass in the dim lighting behind the register itself, and expected me to read it. I told her that I could not see it and ask if Perhaps she can tell me what’s on the menu. She rambled options so quick I couldn’t hear her. I simply left saying this is the issue. We are comfortable being nasty and discourteous to one another. I’ll asked her for a menu. She gave me flippant attitude and disrespectful, reckless eyeballing I will never go back there again, so tired of supporting people who have no respect. This generation is seemingly domed!
